Social Media Specialist
BAOBOB is seeking a social media creator with strong communication skills, great attention to detail, and commitment to Black excellence, This new team member will be ready to nurture and grow the online presence of an existing community-based organization with a current combined social media reach of 10K.

Project Management platforms (i.e., asana, Trello, Zoho)
Design platforms (i.e., canva, photoshop)
Email management platforms (i.e., constant contact, mailchimp)
Social Media schedulers (i.e., buffer, hootsuite)
Event Mgmt platforms (i.e., hopin, eventbrite, zoom)
Resource platforms (i.e., Pinterest, photo stocks, melanintrest,)
Document sharing platform (i.e. google, dropbox)

Employ social media for brand strategy
Familiarity with SEO and web traffic metrics.
Familiarity with web design and publishing.
Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
Measure and report on social media posts, and campaigns, their analytics, reach, and efficacy
Stay current with social media best practices and technologies
Schedule and manage copywriters and designers as needed
Draft, schedule and publish monthly newsletter
Create, maintain, and grow brand presence on new networks, as needed.
Manage blog and editorial calendar that aligns with social updates
Plan, schedule and manage strategic boost campaigns (paid ads)
Initiate new media partnerships
Drive engagement with social media influencers
Monitor and respond to DM inbox messages across all platforms social media inquiries, routing them to appropriate team members, as needed.
Personal PC/Laptop (Cannot be a public/shared device)
Web Cam (For team meetings, events, and private meetings with clients)
This is a contract position. Apart from attending team meetings, the social media Specialist will achieve the position objectives on their own work schedule and calendar and though this can be done from anywhere, all BAOBOB meetings and events are scheduled on Pacific Standard time. This is an immediate opening for a 6-month contract with, Anticipated time commitment 10hrs/wkly.
10-hour weekly sample schedule:
Wkly team mtg 1hr
Wkly content scheduling 3hr
Wkly design time 4hr
Customer Care/communications 2hr
The base compensation for the contract is $4000, paid in 6 equal monthly installments, payable on the 15th of each month. The first month is considered onboarding, so maybe more time-intensive. At the end of the six month, there will be a review with potential for extension.
