What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment?

This role is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive monitoring ensuring supportability, availability and performance of high priority ClientRx registered serrvices/applications.

This Performance Management Engineer position will be responsible for primarily Dynatrace, but will also be involved with OpenSource monitoring tools like Elastic Search, Kubernetes, Kibana, Grafana, & Zabbix, Dynatrace Synthetic, New Relic, and Real User Monitoring

ClientRx Monitoring Center of Excellence (CoE) Onshore/Offshore team size is 12 – 15

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)

Provide day-to-day support on maintaining ClientRx Dynatrace implementation (automated reports, alerts, dashboards)

Be on-call for ClientRx War Room support Dynatrace expertise needed to perform analysis and custom alerting or dashboards as needed

Engage and build relationships with application teams to provide service level validation during performance load testing.

Develop and deploy monitoring for ensuring ClientRx applications reliability and stability (infrastructure health; Disk usage, CPU/Memory usage, Performance)

Develop reports for ClientRx applications as requested to support Peak Season

Identify opportunities for application teams to customize information providing optimal business views

Onboard Dynatrace OneAgent as needed for ClientRx Application servers supporting the portfolio.

Work with Dynatrace Support to resolve any issues as needed to support ClientRx applications

Thoroughly document any procedures to support Dynatrace deployments for ClientRx

Proactively monitor and communicate potential problems to prevent customer impact and improve NPS scores.

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?

Professional communication skills both verbal and written

Project management/Agile experience is desired

Experience with monitoring products such as Elastic Search, Dynatrace, New Relic, Zabbix, SiteScope

Experience with scripting in Perl, PowerShell, Unix Shell, Batch, etc.

Experience with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) disciplines and Technical Operations best practices

Familiarity with business applications which may use the following:

o Operating Systems

o Solaris, AIX

o Windows

o Unix/Linux

o Mainframe

o Database

o Oracle, MS SQL Server, UDB/DB2, Sybase

o Application / Middle Tier

o IBM WebSphere Application Server, Apache, IIS, ASP .NET, IBM WebSphere MQ, TCP/IP


What skills/attributes are a must have?

2 years hands-on experience in Dynatrace

1 year experience in using configuration management solutions such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible

1 year experience in a software development or software support role

Shell scripting and/or Programming skill in any language

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Support experience in a large enterprise environment

What skills/attributes are nice to have?

Experience in APM/Monitoring tools (Elastic SearchNew Relic, Dynatrace, DC RUM)

Minimum 1-2 years Administering Unix/Linux and/or Windows

Experience in supporting Application Servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat)

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)

Health care industry experience

What are the work hours? (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts, etc)
