Position: Education Administrator

Reports to: Education Team Leader

Employment: 30 hours per week (3/4 time)

Location: Remote/virtual

 

Founded in 1996, the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) is a nonprofit organization working internationally to improve the quality of coffee and the lives of the people who produce it. CQI offers training and support to Arabica and Robusta coffee producers, and other individuals in the supply chain, to increase coffee quality, value, and production. Our programs, business solutions and innovative approaches to economic sustainability allow producers to not only improve their income today but also make investments for the future of their households and communities.

 

Role in the organization:

The Education Administrator supports CQI with administrative functions related to the Institute’s education. This includes day-to-day tasks such as data entry, file and course/class organization and tracking, educator and student communications, interface with service providers, and general administration. They have organized, thrive in dynamic work environments, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and a record of exemplary customer service.

 

Responsibilities:

o   General education support

o   Answer inquiries from students, educators and staff

o   Manage the review and approval of courses and classes

o   Collaborate on the creation and delivery of education communications

o   Work with the logistics coordinator to administer and track all volunteer contracts

o   Facilitate meetings

o   Generate reports and statistics as needed

o   Keep all education and database files up to date

o   Harmonize processes for certificate courses and classes

o   Administer online exams

o   Administration of contract courses & classes

o   Handle contract inquiries and send to appropriate staff

o   Work with ed staff and Logistics coordinator to hire educators, if needed

o   Track contract course calendar and invoices/payments

o   Write SOWs, track and archive contracts and paperwork for each engagement

o   Facilitate online training

o   Database support

o   Assist Products Coordinator with database projects

o   Coordinate and implement files and documents

o   Run reports for staff upon request

 

Minimum qualifications:

o   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

o   Process Documentation skills

o   Technology Management skills

o   Competency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype, Teams, SharePoint), airtable, and dropbox.

o   Proven ability to work effectively, independently and as a member of a team, especially in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment

o   Must be US based and authorized to work in the united states

 

Preferred qualifications:

o   Experience with database systems

o   Experience in the coffee industry

o   Prior experience managing/maintaining student services system/platform, or related

o   One or more foreign language ability

o   Experience coding and programming for websites or databases

o   Experience working from home, independently
