We are seeking help to streamline our bookkeeping processes as we scale our mobile app release.  We need our financial story to tell our best story and establish us as a viable candidate for application-based funding and other investment.  


What is the position:

  • Finance Liaison (ANYWHERE IN THE US)

Job Type: Independent Contractor

  • Compensation: Negotiable – 20 max billable hours/mo

Immediate job opening for a Finance Liaison who has great attention to detail can think outside of the box and can help increase/maintain the finances of a community-based organization.


Finance Liaison

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:


• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (will consider current student) 

• Min 2yr bookkeeping experience

Adept with Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge with QuickBooks and other accounting Tools

⦁ Knowledge and interest in raising/obtaining funds for small business


Technology requirements:

  • Your computer with Excel or other spreadsheet application
  • Your internet
  • Your phone

 

Because of the technology we use, this position can be done from any location in the US. Here are some programs we use:

The right candidate will:

Maintain records and statements of existing accounts

Develop and maintain P&L and Cash Flow reports

Maintain subsidiary accounts by recommending allocations and reconciling activity.

Lead financial preparations and systems development to support rapid growth

• Attend monthly team meeting and deliver a snapshot report

Maintain and regularly reconcile general ledger (AP/AR)

Set up and maintain an internal financial archive.

Suggest and generate relevant reports

• Develop concise report request process

Awareness and adherence to Federal, CA state, and local tax and legal requirements

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results on schedule.

Maintain expenses with detailed/tagged expenditure records.

Assist and support internal and external audits.

Actively seek, and maintain readiness for, funding opportunities (i.e. pandemic relief, etc)
