At Grow Remote were driven by the vision of a world where employment is both visible and accessible to everyone everywhere. We started with a group of 24 people in a WhatsApp group who were mission-driven with a bias for action. Were grounded in our values. We are human. We empower others. We champion others. We assume good intent. We believe that local impact is the most powerful tool in national change, and we can make that happen.

1.5 years in, having engaged over 1million, ran over 200 educational events, built the first national training course in remote and raised 500k, 2 months ago we hired our first staff, a General Manager and a Community Manager. We are now looking for a remarkable person to be employee number 3; an Employers Lead.

Employers are a big part of the puzzle when it comes to remote work. We need them to influence the future of the remote ready workforce. They work with us to speak at events, deliver parts of the training course and engage locally in our communities. While remote work is already here, its not as evenly distributed as talent, and engaging employers on the next step of the journey helps make that happen.

Grow Remote sits at the intersection of multiple sectors and disciplines such as community development, the start-up world, the tech industry, the social enterprise sector, further education and training and Ireland’s labour market. We also work closely with a number of Government departments. If you would describe yourself as a social intrepreneur – someone who sets out to solve social issues and wants to be part of an innovative young organisation with big plans, this role could be for you.

The Employer’s lead will have the opportunity to drive fundamental change throughout Ireland.

The role will include:

  • Building and developing a community of Employers in the Grow Remote community
  • Managing our Employer Partnership Programme
  • Supporting companies, large and small, as they transition to remote
  • Run events, online and offline, engaging multiple stakeholders
  • Work with various stakeholders from employers, representative bodies, business networks and teams, to wider community members, other community groups and potential community partners
  • Evangelise remote, representing Grow Remote at events & engagements
  • Living our values on a daily basis

The candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience engaging employers on programmes
  • A superb ability to manage multiple relationships and track that impact
  • Experience in a commercial world
  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent communication skills and is highly organised
  • Enjoys being part of a fast-paced growing team

The ideal candidate for this role also:

  • Has a growth mindset and is empathic, kind and naturally gives first.
  • Has 5 + years relevant experience
  • Has experience in remote working
  • Has demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Is willing to do the big and small things with equal conviction: you’ll be expected to work strategically but not be afraid to work on the ground
  • Has experience in community development
  • Experience operating in a lean environment
  • Has project management experience
  • Has an appreciation for analytics and data
  • Big plus: experience transitioning companies from in office to remote.

Practicals:

Report to: General Manager

Equipment: We will supply you will the tools you need to do your job well (Laptop, screen, peripherals)

Benefits: Salary – 35,000, 3 year full-time contract, flexible working hours & the chance to fundamentally change Ireland

Location: Anywhere in the Republic of Ireland – fully remote
