Principal Engineer – Inventory and Fulfillment Innovation
The Stitch Fix Inventory and Fulfillment Innovation team is looking for a principal engineer to lead the way as we revolutionize the way Stitch Fix creates an inventory assortment to serve any and all clients. Our team will develop brand new inventory models and fulfillment methods to dramatically expand our ability to provide inventory that serves an infinite range of personal styles. We’ll be moving rapidly from scrappy proof-of-concept releases to systems that are highly scalable. You will collaborate with partners from merchandising, operations, finance, algorithms and more to power Stitch Fix’s biggest ambitions in our next decade of business.

You will provide technical guidance to the team in the design and execution of key initiatives across Stitch Fix’s technical ecosystem.
You will inspire an atmosphere of continuous improvement by serving as a technical coach and mentor for the team.
You will assess and analyze existing systems and utilize your expertise to provide recommendations for enhancements and improvements on a regular cadence.
You will lead technical design discussions, align key stakeholders, and remove blockers to critical projects.
You will evaluate existing engineering processes and recommend improvements.
You will collaborate with key business stakeholders and engineering leadership to determine team priorities and and objectives.
WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE… You have a strong background in designing and building for multiple interrelated systems. You may have experience working on substantial third party integrations.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You have a track record of delivering features and functionality on time with high quality.
You have experience working with remote teams in an Agile environment.
You have a strong background in Ruby and/or Go, or other similar languages.
