Over the past decade, I have connected my knowledge of product and industry standards back to the user’s experience of online shopping as a Product Developer and Technical Designer. 

 

I completed my undergrad with a focus in Design studies and left school intent on translating high-level designs towards a broader audience with empathy. I spent time at a variety of high-end brands focused on product experience and understanding of shopping habits. It was through the merge of Tech and Fashion I’ve found a way to pair my love for research and product knowledge directly to the online experience.  

Working as a Technical Designer provided a great opportunity to focus exclusively on the prototyping, research, and feedback process and ensured I was heading in the right direction. I have always had a passion for the testing process, as getting direct feedback from a variety of customers allowed me to focus my time on analyzing customer feedback, writing surveys, reviewing factory notes, research, and building prototypes. 

I decided to enroll at General Assembly to better understand the wireframing process, and take a hard look at all the intricacies of UX. I’m excited to be on this journey, and I invite you to check out some of my work.

    * Product Development lead for apparel categories responsible for developing prototypes, and communicating timelines, changes, and customer analysis and feedback with Product Team. Duties include but were not limited to: Led product review sessions proposing alternative methods for apparel manufacturing in order to enhance product while maintaining business intent. Followed up product launch with customer feedback analysis and provided solutions to reduce return rates. Conducted in person customer surveys to assess apparel product risk. Created system tools and charts to ensure data was captured online consistently.

    Responsibilities Responsible for product execution and product quality assessment, following product from initial concept to final production samples. Product development process included by not limited to: Established Technical Department processes and standards to ensure clear product workflow. Conducted research for fit, and established size & fit information guides through use of surveys, competitor analysis, live model fittings and product review. Generated surveys to evaluate product risks and provided recommendations for customer interfacing.
